A fun engagement session on the NC State University campus in Raleigh, North Carolina!
“Students Andrea + Thayer were so much fun giving me the ultimate tour guide around the beauty of the Centennial Campus at NCSU! These two will be tying the not in January 2021 at The Stockroom at 230 in downtown Raleigh. Below is their proposal story:
‘We had been planning on getting married for a while, so the idea of a proposal/engagement was not a complete surprise, but we still wanted it to be special. Andrea bought a special engagement watch for Thayer in 2019, and planned to propose to Thayer but could not come up with any ideas, and was just waiting until the time felt right. Meanwhile, Thayer was scheming with his family to propose to Andrea with a family heirloom ring. This past January on our anniversary, Andrea suspected that Thayer could be proposing, so she made sure to keep the watch in her bag that night to try and beat him to it. When Andrea got home from work, Thayer had cooked a big meal for dinner and bought Andrea a dozen white roses (her favorite). Thayer mentioned that they were going to go somewhere special for dessert after dinner. Andrea still suspected something was up but had no idea what Thayer was up to. After dinner, Thayer drove downtown to our favorite coffee shop, the Morning Times. We got upstairs and at this point, Andrea could tell that this was probably it because Thayer seemed really nervous. Thayer’s parents were hiding on the stairwell secretly taking pictures (no idea how Andrea didn’t notice, they were talking so loud) while Thayer proposed. Then Andrea pulled out the watch for Thayer and also proposed! Then Thayer had lined up for both of our families to meet us at a cupcake shop. The night was nothing extravagant or excessive, but we prefer more small and intimate settings, so the proposal was special and memorable to us. We love the Morning Times, and now it will always be an extra special place for us.'”
