“I wanted to do a styled shoot in the Blue Ridge Mountains to expand my portfolio. After posting to a local hiking FB group, Jess and Nick had reached out to me and said they would love to participate. They never had a “real” wedding, and never had professional pictures taken on their actual wedding day. They said they wanted to treat it like a vow renewal. Jess being originally from Maine, I (Kelly) crafted the perfect blueberry faux floral arrangement that Jess absolutely loved since it reminded her so much of the blueberries back at her home state, Maine. Nick owned a dark blue suit, and for Jess, we rented a Reclamation wedding dress. They were both down for the hike, and for getting ready on top of the mountain. The views were stunning, and towards the end of the night, the fog rolled in and we got some incredible shots on the ridgeline of Mt Cole that reminded me of Scotland.”
